Sarah Avery

Born in 1972, in Devon, England, Sarah is a British-Swiss artist living on the Lake of Constance.

Sarah is interested in a variety of subjects and genres, ranging from landscapes and portraits, both human and animal to life-drawing and abstract. With no shortage of ideas, she has fun turning them into artworks.

Her delightfully unique artworks, sometimes quirky and amusing, but always beautiful and engaging, are guaranteed to bring joy to collectors for years to come.

Working mainly in acrylic on canvas, with a limited colour palette that serves as a freedom-giving boundary,  she firstly draws each subject freehand. She finds this is one of the most satisfying parts of the process. Thereafter, her main goal is to remember that, first and foremost, creating art should be fun and is a privilege.

Some of her new landscapes are embellished with real gold leaf, giving them a new, glorious 'sparkle' dimension, depending on the light and viewpoint.

Each painting can add joy, beauty and a sense of calm to any space.

"I hope these artworks bring you as much pleasure and respite from the demanding elements of everyday life, as they have given me whilst creating them."
